Prince Harry and William's continuing feud has been branded "unnecessary" by former BBC Royal Correspondent Michael Cole, as the Duke of Sussex is set to return to the UK.
Harry will fly to the UK alone this week to attend a thanksgiving service in honour of the Invictus Games, as it celebrates its 10th anniversary.
The estranged royal is not expected to meet with his brother, the Prince of Wales, during his latest trip. However, it is expected that the Duke will meet with his father, as the King continues his cancer treatment.
Speaking to GBN America, Michael Cole claimed that the rift is "regrettable" and "unnecessary" for the royal siblings.

In a discussion with host Nana Akua, Cole admitted that he "feels sorry" for Prince Harry, as he will carry out the Invictus Games celebrations "without any senior members of the Royal Family".
His wife Meghan Markle and children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will also remain in California during his time in Britain.
Cole told GBNA: "I feel sorry for Harry because he says he loves this country. It's his home and he loves Britain."
Cole also revealed what makes him "saddest of all" about Prince Harry's dwindling relationship with his brother in the absence of their late mother, Princess Diana.

Cole admitted: "You know what makes me saddest of all? I think of Diana, Princess of Wales, the late, the much missed Diana."

Cole continued: "When those boys were quite young, she made them promise to each other that they would always be friends, that they would always be there for each other, and they made that promise.
"It really does make me sad, and I hope that he [Harry] has time to ponder that when he comes back here."
Hoping for a reconciliation between the royal brothers, Cole explained: "There are few worse sights in the world than seeing brothers fighting. And when it's brothers of the royal blood, when it's princes fighting, that's so much worse and it's so regrettable.
"And actually, Nana, it's all so unnecessary."

Nana was in agreement with Cole but argued that Prince Harry is simply "bitter and twisted" about how his mother was treated by the paparazzi, leading up to her death in 1997.
Nana responded: "He's bitter and twisted about what happened to his mother, of course, and he believes the press are responsible. He's completely unforgiving in that.
"He believes that he kind of blames them, which I get it, they didn't have a great time with the press. The press were not good and have not been good on many occasions, but they were not responsible.
"In particular, the British press were not responsible for the death of his mother. I mean, that's just the way it is. It's terrible and it's tragic, but that's that's the way it is."
