Two buses transporting about 70 children to see "Les Miserables" at the Des Moines Civic Center crashed Saturday afternoon. No major injuries were immediately reported.Lt. Barry Schmidt, with the Ankeny Fire Department, told KCCI that the accident happened just after 3:30 p.m. on Interstate 35 South in Ankeny. Four people in a pickup truck were also involved in the crash.Some minor injuries, such as stiff neck, were reported but no one was taken to the hospital. Two buses with the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority brought the students to the Ankeny Fire Station.It is unclear what caused the crash, but officials said one bus, from the Algona Community School District, hit a pickup truck that was pulling a boat.
