Lake Murray hosts 2024 USA Kayak Fishing Team Qualifier
LAKE MURRAY, S.C. (WIS) - Professional anglers are lining up to participate in Lake Murray’s latest event!
In advance of the third Pan American Kayak Fishing Championship in September, Lake Murray is hosting the 2024 USA Kayak Fishing Team Qualifier to find the anglers who will fill the remaining six spots on the USA Kayak Fishing Team.
Anglers automatically qualify by being in the top 75 “2023 Angler of the Year” rankings according to Bassmaster Kayak Series or Hobie Bass Fishing. They can also qualify by being one of the top 50 in the West Coast Championship or by being a USA Kayak Fishing Team alumni.
The USA Kayak Fishing Team will eventually compete in the 2024 Pan American Championship on Lake Murray starting Sep. 26 and the 2024 World Championship in Italy.
The American team is the defending gold medalist in both events, having won the 2022 Pan American Championship in Mexico and the 2023 World Championship in Tennessee.
